A bedroom in Las Vegas needed a reliable way to keep cool, but the window setup made a standard AC installation tricky. We were asked to fit a window unit securely and seal the opening to keep weather and dust out.

The Work

Built a sturdy outdoor shelf using redwood, fastened into the home's framing for strong support
Cut and installed a clear acrylic sheet above the AC to fit the window precisely
Sealed the remaining space with aluminum siding and silicone to block drafts and moisture

The Outcome

The AC unit now sits safely on a secure platform, with the window above tightly closed off against the outside. The room is cooler, and the fit keeps out dust, heat, and unwanted drafts. This setup lets the homeowner enjoy comfort without worry about leaks or weather getting inside.
